The Cross Position

The Cross Position is an excellent position for 02 dependent patients as an oxygen cannula can easily be worn without getting in the way. For this position, the man lies slightly to one side with his lower leg bent and the top leg straight. His arms can be stretched out as pictured, or he can hold on to his partner's legs. The woman lies on her back, perpendicular to the man, with her legs draped over his pelvic area. Pillows can be used for extra support.
