Eeeuuuu! Reminds me of visiting the LA area for the first time, and not being able to see the next hill over. :-( Yuck!

(2) Sukhmandir Kaur says:

That white haze reminds me of Lahore Pakistan. looked just like that and so hard to breathe. Our US smog is so much browner . I remember as a kid in Orange county it hurt to breathe in deeply. I don’t see alot of difference between smog and second hand smoke!

(6) Lahle Wolfe says:

Looks just like home to me. In 2004 Upland, CA was named the #1 worst city in the entire country for air pollution. We have the highest rate of abnormal lung development in children and one of the highest rates of asthma in the country. I wish we could move!

(8) Stan says:

Looks like Sacramento in summer, which is a big reason I now live in Reno. My wife has asthma and there is rarely enough smog here to worry about. High altitude and desert wind make for clean air. Oh yeah, and a few hundred thousand fewer people and cars.

(11) Newlyweds Guide Francesca says:

It’s scary to think how long we’ve been damaging our atmosphere. It’s amazing the planet has been strong enough to withstand man’s damage for so long.

Wow, now I see why it has such a reputation. Incidentally, it looks as though she’s talking on a cell phone in this photo.
