Did you know that kicking the habit for smokers may have just gotten easier? According to a current British study, smokers are more likely to quit if they know their true "lung age". This concept is measured by comparing the lungs of a smoker to those of an average healthy person with similar lung function. For example, if a 40 year old male has been smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day for 20 years, although he is relatively young, the age of his lungs would most likely be compared to those of a much older person. According to the World Health Organization, smoking kills approximately four million people each year.
